Busy Week? Here's some Suggestions.

We all have those weeks in our lives where we have, countless meetings, assignments, and social events, well at least that's how my week was. When weeks like this happen, I know the last thing I want to do is cook. That's why in really busy weeks, HEB pre-made meals are a great place to go.

HEB has a great selection of choices with food categories such as: Italian, Mexican, Traditional, Asian, and so much more. Another thing I enjoy about the HEB pre made meals is that they have the nutrition information and heating instructions clearly displayed. I will say one drawback of the nutritional information is that it can be on a per serving basis, and sometimes there are multiple servings per container. This has gotten me a couple times with things like Mac & Cheese. Considering that, the nutrition guides help you even at the store in planning on what your going to create. A list of all HEB options can be found here: HEB Premade Meals

Some of my personal favorites include:

  • Chicken and Bacon Mac & Cheese
  • Southwestern Chicken
  • Chicken, Broccoli, and Rice bowl
  • Chicken Parmesan
  • Spaghetti and Meatballs
Another helpful aspect of the HEB meals is that there are lots of options for just sides, or an entree piece. What I mean by that is, if you have limited time to cook, you can just cook rice and use the HEB chicken you bought. On the other hand if you cooked chicken you can throw the HEB parmesan green beans or side of mac & cheese in the oven and enjoy it with the chicken. HEB meals are a great option to have a cheap and easy way of cooking, especially when your time is limited.

I'd encourage my readers to click on the link provided in this blog and to pick one or two things you think look good. I know there can be a stigma to premade meals, but HEB does a great job in providing fresh, quality meals that can really make a great dinner.
